What makes our Triple Trees so special?

• All components are machined from premium 6061-T6 aluminum utilizing aerospace quality controls on the latest computer controlled equipment
• This delivers consistently high quality fit and finish to your bike project.
• We go through additional milling procedures in order to allow the stock key lock to work.
• We have a unique edge on the outer profile, a small but complicated machining detail that gives our trees a unique, custom look.
• The top surface of our trees is smooth, for a clean, sleek appearance.
• Raking the fork tubes adds significant processing time to our Road Star trees
• We have found the additional expense to be well worth difference in ride and handling.

Can I use my stock components, fork covers, headlight and light bar on my new triple trees?

• You can order your trees for use with Tins (stock fork covers), or without, as well as the stock headlight and signal/light bar.
• We retain the factory riser spacing.

How many degrees of rake are in the Trees?

• RakedCycles.com trees are raked 6 degrees in the tubes, not the stem.
• Raking the tubes helps reduce the amount of trail typically lost when using raked trees.
• Our trees also feature a reduced offset, another factor that helps reduce the loss of trail.
• We are currently developing trees with different rake angles, please ask.

I’m concerned about reduced trail. How will my steering feel compared
to the stock setup?

• Most riders find the bike to be a little more responsive after installation of raked trees.
• Your bike will feel a little more “in the groove” in at highway speeds.

A great deal of time and effort goes into engineering and testing our products. Handling at highway speeds is stable, low speed handling will likely feel a bit heavier depending on wheel configuration and the amount of lowering. Many factors contribute to the handling of a motorcycle including suspension preload, and overall weight of the rider and passenger; obviously, every situation is different

Below is a general guideline to consider when talking about trail:

• Raked triple trees reduces trail
• Lowering the rear of a bike increases trail
• Adding a larger front wheel increases trail.
• Adding longer fork tubes can reduce or increase trail, depending on other factors, such as the items listed above.
• A bike with trail measurements of 2.5 to 6 inches is considered very stable
• Measurements below 2.5 inches cause a bike to feel more responsive
• Measurements above 6 inches can cause a bike to feel unresponsive
• IT IS UNSAFE TO HAVE NEGATIVE TRAIL (LESS THAN ZERO)!!

If I only add a set of your RakedCycles.com trees, what will my trail measurement be?

• If nothing else is done, your trail measurement will be approximately 2 inches
• If the rear end is lowered 2 inches, your trail will increase slightly

How much lower will my front end be after the installation without extensions?

• If nothing else is done, the front end will be lowered about 1.5 inches
• The bike will look level if the rear end is lowered 2 inches (via extended control arms/dog bones).
• We can provide +2” extensions for trees with stock tins and +3” extensions without.

Other than the Triple Trees, what other items are needed for the
install?

• We supply new handlebar riser bushings, a new lower bearing
• The Trees are drilled for a 3/8” mount aftermarket headlight.
• By request, trees can be machined for mounting the stock headlight.

Can I use the existing front turn signals?

• By request, we will machine the trees for the light bar and lower windshield mount.

Does the stock brake-T work with the Triple Trees?

• Yes it does, however, many people choose an aftermarket chrome brake-Tee for appearance.
• We suggest (Russell Part #R4306C) www.russellperformance.com

I’m considering doing the install myself. How difficult is it?
• We have no way of predicting the skill level of our customers, making simple impossible to define.
• We typically recommend installation by a skilled mechanic
• Additional guidance is available by contacting us via e-mail
